Kaupapa: Clean and stock take kitchen & Dining Room  

Kia Ora e te whānau 

Next Saturday we will have the chance for our whānau of Mākirkiri marae to come together and clean our wharekai and a space for us wānanga as a marae and hapū. 

The morning 9am – 12 noon is planned as a working bee to tidy up and clean our kitchen and dining room. It will also include a stock take of equipment and discussion around the renovation project of these areas. 

Lunch will be provided by the committee 12noon – 1pm. 

What to bring: Yourself and your whānau. We will have some cleaning equipment and cleaning solutions however it would be appreciated if whānau could bring old cloths, any cleaning equipment etc. 

MĀKIRIKIRI WHĀNAU HUI 

Following lunch provided by the committee members we are taking the opportunity to have a marae whānau hui 1pm – 3pm. We will also have ZOOM link for whānau who aren’t able to travel to our marae but who are keen to participate in the discussion. 

The committee is keen to have input and direction from whānau into our marae. How do we and Mākirikiri Marae link and connect with our iwi authority. We hope these will become regular whānau hui.
